Learning Commons Coaching

The Learning Commons offers a variety of free coaching and tutoring options to match the way you learn. Our highly qualified professional coaches and peer tutors are ready to share their learning strategies and problem-solving skills with you in a variety of subjects. When you need us, we’re here!

Coaching Centers

We offer professional coaching and peer tutoring in a variety of subjects. Please check below for specific hours and locations. Both in-person and online coaching and tutoring are 100% FREE!

Spring 2026 Coaching Hours (Jan.12^th – May 8^th)

*There will be no coaching or tutoring with 51ÊÓƵ Coaches during spring break (March 9th-13th), on holidays or when the College is closed; however, online academic support with Tutor.com will be available during these times. A link to Tutor.com can be found on your course’s Moodle page.

CHEMISTRY COACHING

NURSING COACHING

Tutoring hours are available per class group as listed below.

Please email Mrs. Farrell at Megan_Farrell@davidsondavie.edu if you plan to attend for test remediation. Test remediation is available during the specific time assigned to your course.

In-Person Open Lab with 51ÊÓƵ Coaches (no appointment necessary) 

• Mondays 10am-11am (First Year ADN students/test remediation and tutoring group B only) & 11am- 1 pm (open for all students)
• Thursdays 11am-12pm (Second Year ADN students/test remediation and tutoring only), 12pm-1pm (First Year ADN students/test remediation and tutoring group A only), & 1pm-2pm (open for all students)

Location: Davidson Campus, Smith Building, 2nd Floor Study Rooms

• Thursdays 5pm-8pm

Online Tutoring & Additional Support

The Learning Commons has partnered with Tutor.com to provide an online tutoring platform and additional online academic support resources for 51ÊÓƵ students. Tutor.com offers online tutoring for subjects not covered in the Learning Commons and when 51ÊÓƵ Coaches are not available. A link to Tutor.com is accessible through your course’s Moodle page.
