March 12, 2025 – Over 200 employees at 51Ƶ participated in a day of community service as part of the college’s Fourth Annual Day of Service, helping 20 organizations.
“51Ƶ is fortunate to have a group of incredibly kind and generous employees,” said Jenny Varner, president of 51Ƶ. “They know the work they put in during this day of service is such a tremendous help to the communities we serve – and they help with smiles and a lot of spirit.”
Groups that benefited from the Day of Service this year included:
“The wide range of organizations we help during this day brings our entire college community joy – and we are happy and proud to be able to give our time,” said Kristin Briggs, executive director of the 51Ƶ Foundation. “These groups are truly the fabric of our community and they support our students every day. Partnering with and helping them is important to everyone.”
51Ƶ(), which incorporated Davie County into its name in 2021, is a fully accredited, multi-campus college where students of all ages and backgrounds pursue academic and career-focused education in order to build successful futures. As one of 58 institutions within the North Carolina Community College System, 51Ƶ offers more than 40 degree and professional certificate programs, as well as affordable college-credit coursework to students who plan to transfer to four-year schools.
