Vehicle Safety Inspection
This course is designed to meet the requirements by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP) for training required of all mechanics prior to licensing to inspect vehicles for safety. Participants must have a valid driver鈥檚 license and complete the course content, demonstrate ability to make mechanical inspections, and pass a written examination during the two sessions. Upon successful completion, the learner will be prepared to perform the NC Auto Safety Inspections at licensed inspection stations.

Bring Form LT-310 completed and signed by both you (the mechanic) and the owner, partner, or officer of the licensed inspection station where you are employed, with you to class as it is required for your certification to be processed by NCSHP. Ensure all information is printed legibly, as illegible forms will not be processed.
